Members take active roles in Coalition activities, are included in the decision-making process and vote on matters before the Committee. Members are expected to attend at least one-half of the meetings throughout the year, and those who are unable to attend a noticed

meeting are asked to contact either the Coalition Coordinator or one of the two Co-Chairs. Members are also expected to serve on at least one Subcommittee for a one- to two-year term, which can be continued.

Selection of new Steering Committee members is made by submission of a letter of interest from the prospective member and vote for approval of the applicant by two-thirds of the existing membership. No more than 20 persons serve at any one time. Steering Committee co-chairs serve for staggered one- to two-year terms and may be re-appointed by approval of two-thirds of the membership
